Who done it??

I saw this 'portrait' on the side of a building in Brick Lane, and thought it was brilliant. It was scrapped out of the wall, the latest form of graffiti perhaps?
I have no idea who it was by... it didn't appear to be tagged. Maybe all will become clear when it starts popping up around London.
He looks very fed up, who ever he is.

Columbia Road

I finally managed to visit Columbia Road in the East End of London just before Christmas, and it was everything I hoped it would be.
There were so many amazing shops, from Rob Ryan's boutique, Ryan Town to several beautiful antique china shops.
I was in my element.

Paul Andrew Williams...an inspiration

I went to a talk the other night by Paul Andrew Williams, the director of 'London to Brighton' (for which he won the 'Best New Director' award at the 2008 Edinburgh Film Festival), as well as a few other successful British films.

I'm hardly a film buff, and had never even heard of him before, but his talk was fascinating.
Having not (yet) seen any of his work, it was his attitude and work ethos that inspired me. With no major investment or guarentees of success he carried on regardless, because he believed in himself and loved what he did. He overcame various obstacles and very rarely compromised his vision. Very inspiring indeed.
